saturday walk

so, what do you do in madison on a free saturday when it's rainy and 45 degrees out?you put on three (regan) to five (greg) layers of clothing, pretending it's an unseasonably warm day in the middle of february and go on a four hour walk around town.

first, a stop at a little park on lake mendota. greg: obsessed with virtually every stick he sees on this trip because he's on the lookout for something to stake our little garden plot with.

leitch house. the right sort of day for a place like this.

park #2-- color on a gray day, but no canoers in sight.

a stop at the capitol...

the top of the dome.

now at the farmer's market

lots and lots of flowers...
more flowers
and more flowers
and... more

foooood

on state street... art bike fair for next week's ride your bike to work week. are they really going to ride these?

this one came with a matching person, but he was off chatting.

so did this one....

my favorite one...

gold and trolls...

waves

a bite to eat...

some noontime wisdom...

mmm!

museum of contemporary art

wacky wheeler (?)

prepared

happy

on the way home... sort of sunny

the other lake.

blue doors, bleeding hearts

we met this cat on the way home. on the way out there were signs for a missing gray cat named boris, wearing a red collar. i was sure we were about to save the day, but alas, on closer inspection this cat was wearing a pink collar bearing a girl's name. sorry boris.

finally... ominous skies.
