it can have negative connotations: "i settled for an apple when i really wanted that cookie."
and
today... i think it has positive connotations. i'm settling into what, for me, is the beginning of the end of... well... what, for me, is a fairly significant era. no, not law school, not yet... i haven't settled into that fact quite yet... no... it is something smaller in a sense, because it is simply one component of law school... but one that has occupied so much of my time for the past 8 months... my first real case... my first real client... and... my first real final (stipulated... i.e. uncontested... i.e. settled = we all smile) hearing today... now it is mostly a matter of finalizing the smaller administrative matters as she begins to navigate a new era in her own life...
am i sentimental about it all? can't you tell?
on a less sappy note... the mrs. is watching a pbs documentary... she loves t.v.

Thanks Natalie. I think law school mostly requires someone who is willing to give up a whole lot of free time!
